Have you experienced severe health issues – such as stroke, heart failure, and kidney failure - following the use of Trasylol? Have your loved ones suffered adversely – or even died - after taking the drug?

If so, you should contact us immediately to protect your legal rights.

A protein derived from cattle, Trasylol is given to patients – via injection – who may be at risk from internal bleeding that can occur during the course of major surgeries, such as heart by-pass surgery.

Trasylol works by specifically slowing down the speed at which fibrinolysis – the collapse of blood-clots in the human-body – develops; thus lessening the requirement for blood-transfusions at the time of surgery.

However, several serious, and potentially fatal, conditions and side-effects have resulted from usage of Trasylol.

These include heart failure, stroke, and kidney failure. The possible, serious side-effects associated with Trasylol were reported in an FDA statement published in October 2007.

According to the FDA, the risk of fatality in patients prescribed Trasylol was significantly more than in those prescribed other drugs that were also designed to slow down the process of fibrinolysis.

One month later, in November 2007, the FDA issued another statement, in which it was revealed that Bayer Pharmaceuticals Corporation had agreed to the FDA’s requested suspension of Trasylol.

As a further result of the FDA’s request, Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals Inc. informed the FDA that it intended removing any and all of its remaining stock from the marketplace.

In May 2008, the drug was completely and permanently taken off the market in the United States.

If you or your loved ones have experienced any of these side effects you may have a claim for legal compensation. Contact The Fox Law Firm for superior legal representation.
